Things to ask BEFORE you choose a PhotoBooth vendor

We already have a photographer, why do we need a photo booth?

You absolutely need a photographer to take pictures of the event itself (especially weddings), however the FriendZstation provides entertainment for your guests. Allowing your guests to let loose, be silly, and just have fun!

Do you have Insurance?

We know, it's a photo booth, what could possibly happen? Nothing is going to happen, but the reality is most venues require that outside services have liability insurance in place. This question will also separate the fly-by-night companies from the serious ones.

And YES we have insurance.  Just ask and we can send you a certificate.

Do you have references?

Employers, landlords, and others ask for references, why shouldn’t you. This is your event and everything needs to run perfectly. While we are relatively young enterprise, we (Kay and Jamie Zahn) are well known in Arizona. Feel free to ask us for references or testimonials, we love to share!

What is the quality of the booth?

The last thing you want is a beautiful party venue with an ugly, makeshift photo booth in the corner.  We've seen some with PVC and shower curtains. Our setup is elegant and classy We have a beautiful touch screen interface, where you can see yourself and the photos being taken.

What is the quality of the Photos?

It may seem simple, but there is actually a lot that goes into capturing a high-quality photo in a photo booth. Ask the company to see examples of past photos. Do they appear dark or is the camera flash causing red eyes. You don't want to get inside and find out that they have an iPhone or iPad for a camera. We employ a Canon Rebel DSLR camera that takes awesome photos. We minimize the flash with studio quality lighting technology.

Lastly, find out what kind of printer they use? We use a DNP dyesublimation printer that prints beautiful color or black and white photos in about 10 seconds.

Will you need internet at the venue or do you provide your own?

Many times the coolest features are the online features, SMS text messages, Facebook, Twitter and #hashtag printing on the spot.

If you or your venue do not provide the WiFi, most providers won't be able to do it for you.  Your guests might get your messages later that day, or next week, or not at all.

We use a "Cradle Point" for no hassle connection to the internet. We don't make our need for WiFi, YOUR problem.  Your guests and their friends will get their posts and text messages immediately.
